Class 38: Junior Amateur Photography

General Rules for Classes 38 & 39:
  1. Exhibitors enter only in their own section or higher.
  2. Please ensure that photos are securely mounted to prevent loss during the fair.
  3. Entry to be the work of the exhibitor and taken within the last two years and not previously been entered.
  4. Entries in all sections except “SPECIALS†to be mounted on black or white bristol board, 18 cm x 24 cm. (h x w), Sections 1 - 11.
  5. Only one entry per section per exhibitor.
  6. Prints may be titled or untitled.
  7. Exhibitors must have their own exhibitor number. No exhibitor fee will be charged except that an exhibitor fee of $5 will be charged if exhibitor wishes to show in open (adult) classes also.
  8. Name and exhibitor number should be printed on the back of photo.
  9. Age must be printed on the front of exhibitor tag.
  10. Directors will disqualify entries if not suitable for family viewing.

  12. DIRECTOR’S SPECIAL: “Me & Grandma or Grandpa†– three photos mounted on black or white Bristol board.

Please note that 13Sp.-listed below, is open to both Elementary & Secondary school exhibitors.

Secondary School:
Prizes: 1st: $5.00 2nd: $4.00 3rd: $3.00

  1. An action shot.
  2. Photo showing ‘School Spirit’ activities-name the activity.
  3. A wild animal(s) in it’s natural environment.
  4. A silhouette at sunrise or sunset.
  5. A humorous situation-title the situation.
  6. A print of ‘Something caught on film just in time’.
  7. My favourite vacation photo.
  8. 3 photos showing something in my favourite season of the year.
  9. Photo of a favourtie holiday tradition-name the tradition.
  10. Photo of any subject not already listed.
  11. “Creativity†– Digital Photo – Enhanced/Altered.
  12. DIRECTOR’S SPECIAL: ‘Dufferin County – Seasonally’ – four photos, showing the different seasons, mounted on black or white Bristol board.
    Prizes: 1st: $5.00 2nd: $4.00 3rd: $3.00.
  13. DUFFERIN GARDEN CENTRE SPECIAL: A series of 3 photos taken at Dufferin Garden Centre, showing flowers, plants and/or scenery.
    Entries become the property of Dufferin Garden Centre for display.
    Prizes: 1st: $5.00 2nd: $4.00 3rd: $3.00.
