class 29: Country Lane

Rules:
  1. Entries in sections 1-12 must be produced and made by exhibitor.
  2. All containers must be labeled.
  3. Entries must be produced in the current year.
Sections 1-12:
Prizes: 1st: $5.00 2nd: $4.00 3rd: $3.00
  1. A un-cut decorated pumpkin; i.e. painted, accessorized etc.
  2. Potted herb garden, - minimum of 4 different herbs, named, not to exceed 30 cm x 40 cm
  3. Homemade mincemeat in pint or metric equivalent. Include recipe
  4. A decorative scarecrow, not taller than 3’
  5. Homemade salad dressing in a clear ½ pint or metric equivalent jar – list of ingredients attached
  6. Feathers from 3 different breeds of fowl, mounted and named
  7. 6 brown eggs in an open container
  8. 6 white eggs in an open container
  9. Liquid honey - light -1 pint jar or metric equivalent
  10. Maple syrup - 1 pint or metric equivalent
  11. A Horn of Plenty, with artificial vegetables and fruit, not to exceed 20”.


  12. A Sunflower bouquet of 1-5 stems, with appropriate foliage.
  13. BILLY BEE HONEY SPECIAL: One fruit bread or loaf of which the recipe must include honey. Please attach a printed copy of your recipe.

Class 29: Homemade Wine


Rules for Homemade Wine (Sections 14-18)

  1. Entries must be the work of exhibitor.
  2. Wine displayed in clear 750ml glass bottles, except red wines may be in coloured 750ml glass bottles.
  3. Wine may have either corks or screw tops.
  4. Wine must be labeled with variety, or fruit type, and date bottled.
